# Vision Test Drive > A Mac menu bar app and an iPhone and iPad remote from Epiphani Studios for running Apple Vision Pro demos. The host taps a tile on their phone and that experience opens on the headset the guest is wearing; one tap closes the guest's apps for the next guest. ## What it does - Remote: a web page served by the Mac on the local network, opened in Safari on iPhone or iPad and added to the Home Screen as "Test Drive". It shows a running order of tiles (Start here, Apple Immersive titles, Travel and places, Showpieces), then every app installed on the headset with a search box. - Tap a tile: the app opens on the headset. Apple Immersive titles (Elevated, Boundless, Real Madrid, BBC Proms) open straight to the film in the TV app. - Status: a badge reads the headset's state every 15 seconds and the moment the remote comes back on screen (ready, locked, out of reach), and marks the tile last opened. - Reset for the next guest: closes every running app that is not part of visionOS (App Store apps and the owner's own builds, including ones installed or updated since the app list was read), plus Photos and Apple's demo apps, even while the headset is locked; it then checks again and reports how many it closed, or names any still open. - Mac menu: pairing QR code, copy remote link, open the remote on the Mac, reset, paired devices (new code, unpair all), open at login. ## How it works - Pairing: a phone or iPad types a six-digit code from the Mac's menu bar (or scans its QR code); five wrong codes from one address pause it for 10 minutes and five wrong from anywhere spend the code; each paired device holds its own pass in an HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict cookie; the Mac keeps its master key to itself. - The remote answers only to the Mac's own network names and addresses (a defense against DNS rebinding) and launches only listed tiles or apps the headset reports as installed. - Launches and resets use Apple's device tools in Xcode (devicectl). - Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple; updates from updates.belstone.com and installs only builds with the same developer signature. ## Requirements - A Mac with Apple silicon on macOS 15 or later, with Xcode installed and the Apple Vision Pro paired once in Xcode's Devices and Simulators window, Developer Mode on. - To run it from your hand: an iPhone or iPad on the same Wi-Fi network as the Mac. The remote also opens on the Mac itself (menu bar, Open Remote on This Mac). - Price: Free. ## Links - Home: https://visiontestdrive.com/ - Download: https://visiontestdrive.com/download - Publisher: Epiphani Studios, https://epiphani.com/
